The inn

A large oak log home, with wildlife off the deck.

Prairie Oaks Inn strives to be more than just another Bed and Breakfast. While we are a nice place to stay, we hope you view us as your final destination.

The basis of the B&B facility is a large oak log home offering nearly 8,000 square feet of comfort and opportunity, in a decorating style in which anyone will feel at home. It is quite common to see deer, turkey, pheasant, coyotes and even bobcats while relaxing on the deck in the mornings and evenings.

There is a stocked pond behind the house, and we have numerous domestic ducks who enjoy the water. Guests can use the canoes and a paddle boat, and fish (catch and release).

The Flying M Ranch

A working ranch of Suri alpacas.

We are also the home of the Flying M Ranch, a working alpaca ranch specializing in the Suri Alpaca, with over 100 head. Guests can interact with the animals, and involve themselves with as much of that operation as they like.
